Homes Boise - Matching your Home Style to your Lifestyle
As you get to know the types of homes Boise has to offer, it might be helpful to get to know the language realtors use. You can choose between:
Single Family Homes
The single family home is your basic traditional house which your real estate agent may refer to it as a “single family home”, which is your typical house. These homes come with front and back yards, side yards, and usually a garage or a place to park your cars. These homes come in a vast variety of settings and neighborhoods, but they are usually only attached to a garage.
The townhome is similar to a single family home, but it may be attached to other single family homes on one or both sides. In a townhome, you’ll be sharing a wall with other people. You have the same type of ownership in a townhome as you do a typical home, meaning the structure and the land on which it sits.
Patio homes can become interesting. Sometimes these homes do not have a back yard, instead, there may be a garden or type of patio directly out the back door. There may be a small front yard, and a strip of yard on only one side of the house.
What about the styles of homes Boise has to offer? Here are some popular ones:
Ranch homes. These homes originated in the United States, and are a domestic style with a low and long profile. These are single level homes with a long, low roofline. They have attached garages with a sliding glass door opening to the patio.
Split-level homes. These properties have staggered floor levels, where the main level is halfway between the upper and lower floors. They typically have two short sets of stairs.
The Bungalow is a type of house which is usually small, usually one story and detached. Oftentimes they are built with a wide veranda.
These are but a touch of the types and styles of homes available in Boise. You’ve got your work cut out for you in your Boise homes search, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be fun!
