Smart buyers do theirresearch on the community before ever buying properties in Idaho; we know this, so we love providing all different types of interesting information on Boise and Idaho. Higher educational opportunities is a very important for both buyers and sellers. Some want to work at the university or attend classes, but even if you have been there and done that, the quality of higher education has direct effects on a community as a whole and sellers can use the great location higher education as one of their selling points. Boise is so great--one of the many reasons why is it has many wonderful colleges all around it. Here are the main ones:

Boise State University

Idaho's largest university, built along the banks of the scenic Boise River right in the middle of Boise, Boise State is a growing nationally respected university. It has a variety of majors and minors and graduate programs, with a very strong business college. Boise State is known all over the country for its national top-ten football team and blue turf--Boise State football is the valley's top entertainment experience. Boise State's growth has helped the Treasure Valley expand in a variety of ways and some of the most desirable properties in Idaho are found close to B.S.U., so it definitely deserves a look.

College of Western Idaho

boise2_sm_300_01For years, the Treasure Valley was void of a community college, but not anymore. Starting in 2009, the College of Western Idaho is great for those wanting to get general classes through with for cheap, or learn a valuable skill to increase your employ-ability. In addition, C.W.I. has adult education for those who need it. With convenient locations in Boise and Nampa, the College of Western Idaho brings quality, affordable education and employment opportunities for Idaho residents.

College of Idaho

A small private, liberal arts college in Boise suburb Caldwell, the College of Idaho is one of Idaho's most respected colleges. Many love school because of C of I's focus on maintaining a low teacher-to-student ratio and small community feel--much different than being just one of hundreds of students in a crowded lecture hall. College of Idaho students regularly perform well in getting into medical or law school and finding top jobs and the C of I baseball team is traditionally one of the best NAIA teams in the country. Properties in Idaho near the College of Idaho are very affordable, as well, as Caldwell real estate is far less expensive than real estate in Boise and Meridian.

Northwest Nazarene University

It seems that every city in the Boise area of any size has a respectable university, and Northwest Nazarene, inĀ Nampa, is a private, four-year, christian university featuring many undergraduate and graduate majors. N.N.U. provides quality education and teaches its core values. N.N.U. also competes in the N.C.A.A. at the division II level in many sports.

Live in a community with a strong educational focus, Boise certainly has that. Boise universities are a great place to work, live, and/or go to school. Properties in Idaho near its colleges also have tremendous promise for investors. Search all area homes and narrow your search for properties in Idaho near the college-town you like most--luckily, there aren't many major cities in Idaho that aren't college-towns.
