There are many trails and areas where you can take your mountain bike out and have some fun. A few specific areas are listed below.
BCRD Wood River Trail System - Constructed over the old railroad route through the Wood River Valley, the 20-mile Wood River Trail System runs from north of Ketchum through Hailey to Bellevue and connects to a 10-mile paved trail in Sun Valley. Many historic points of interest lie along the way, which focus on the history of the railroad and its impact on the growth and development of this area.
BogusBasinMountain Biking - Mountain biking at Bogus Basin includes a trail from the Nordic Center parking lot area down through a loop through the Boise National Forest as well as the Shafer Butte Picnic Area up past the Mores Mountain interpretive trail. This ride through the Boise National Forest is easy enough for beginners. It’ll be the most memorable mountain bike trip you ever experience – exhilarating to say the least.
Farragut State Park Mountain Bike Trails - Farragut State Park maintains over 40 miles of shared use trails. There are trails in the Park that are perfect for the beginning rider and also those that challenge the advanced. Moving from dense conifer forests to wide open fields on rolling terrain, Farragut’s trail system can expose you to all the natural wonders that the Park has to offer.
Kelly Canyon Loop Mountain Bike Trail - This mountain bike trail near Kelly Canyon Ski Area is a 5.4 mile loop. The strenuous beginning doesn't last long. Highlights are the views in all directions from the top of the mountain. It will be an incredible mountain biking experience that you’ll never forget.
Moscow Area Mountain Bike Trails - Moscow Mountain Majesty is a mountain bike trail near Moscow that is a moderately strenuous, 13.2 mile loop on a gravel road, single and double track with great views of the Palouse. Bring your helmet, your knee pads, and your endurance and experience the thrill ride of a lifetime.
