MLS Area 700- Garden City Idaho Homes and Lifestyle
One of the reasons why Garden City is a popular place to be is that the Revolution Concert House is here. This is where bands of all kinds have come to perform--from Rise Against and Killswitch Engage to Rodrigo Y Gabriela. Fans of all genres have gathered in this concert house for nights of fun, merriment, and the enjoyment of music and the fan communities that surround particular bands and musicians. Right across the street from the Revolution Center you have more excitement as well, one of which being the Boise Hawks Stadium, where baseball fans can come together to enjoy a ball game several times a month.
Garden City is also the home of the Idaho fairgrounds. This is where the Western Idaho State Fair settles each year in late summer (typically towards the end of August). At this fair, you will see ferris wheels, rides of all kinds, food stands as far as your eyes can see, farm animals (and even baby ones you can pet and feed sometimes), cotton candy, and even musicians and hypnotists. Yes, you read that correctly-- the Western Idaho State Fair holds some fun programs while it’s in town, including shows by performers of all types. Some performers who have come to the Western Idaho State Fair include Stix, Weird Al Yankovic, and Corbin Bleu. This is one event in Garden City that you definitely do not want to miss.
As far as real estate goes in Garden City, it is much like the other areas surrounding Boise, where great deals on houses abound. Here in Garden City, there is a wide range of prices and sizes of houses. You can find homes for just about any price and in all shapes and sizes. There really is a wide variety to choose from here, but the houses still have one thing in common: each home is unique. They are built with great materials and are stylish and contemporary, but each one is different from the next. While many of them may not have much land, most of them will have 1 to 2 car garages at the very least. The houses are honestly beautiful, and some are even located next to large gorgeous ponds. You can look out your window and bask in the view of the rippling water day or night. It is sure to leave you feeling peaceful and serene. However, the greatest perk of living in Garden City would have to be the close proximity to stores, eateries, and entertainment venues such as the Revolution Concert House.
There is also a dollar theater in Garden City: the Reel Theater. This movie theater has stood the test of time in Garden City. It has gone from a dollar theater to a regular theater and back again over the last decade, but no matter what type of movie theater it was, is, or ever will be, it is sure to be a hit because it has been a part of Garden City resident’s lives for years. Crowds filled the theater seats when big franchises were freshly hitting the theater at midnight releases, and the place was always packed with people. Now, the crowds are a little less intense but still enough to keep the place going. Its relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices give it strong appeal to many, especially trying to be frugal while still going out and enjoying time with friends.
Garden City has it all: grocery stores, a movie theater, salons, restaurants, parks, and so much more. The popular parks in this city are Veterans Memorial Park, Esther Simplot Park, Riverside Park, and Kiwanis Park. At the Veterans Memorial Park, Kids can enjoy the amazing playground and adults can enjoy the paths, ponds, and shaded areas. At Esther Simplot Park, anyone can enjoy the wide open space with outdoor activities of their choosing. Here, you can enjoy the surf or the turf.
