MLS Area 1285- Middleton Idaho Homes and Lifestyle
Middleton, Idaho is a small city just outside the areas of the Eagle, Meridian, and Star. It is about fifteen minutes from Caldwell and Nampa, and the prices for homes in the city are phenomenally low. You can find great deals on houses and office spaces in this city as well. The community also has a lot of fun activities put on all the time as well, including summer reading programs at the Middleton Public Library and fireworks in the summer. The houses in Middleton are beautiful and spacious, and affordable to top it all off. The average home size is about two bathrooms and four bedrooms. They range from one bathroom and two bedrooms to about six bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. The backyards are gorgeous and typically fenced off--perfect for play equipment and fro. Many of the homes in Middleton are Coleman Homes and are newly built. There are also plenty of things to do in Middleton. There are multiple parks, museums, a library, many shops, a strip mall, a frozen yogurt place, and a local grocery store.
There are some of Idaho’s famous historical sites in Middleton as well, and the history of this city is quite rich as well. It is the oldest Canyon County city. Its post office served the people heading for the Oregon Trail and by the Fort in Parma. The city is still a small town in the middle of other historic and busy cities, but it has been growing each year and has, in turn, gained more businesses in town, more eateries, and more housing developments. With more houses comes more people flooding the great deals on homes in the area and commuting to work in Boise, where downtown is only about 45 minutes away. Middleton’s main road is State Street, which goes through to Star, Eagle, and Boise on one end and to the freeway on the other end. This prime location makes Middleton an ideal place to live for those who like quiet living but with bigger cities close by.
There are also plenty of restaurants as well, such as the Burnt Lemon Grill, Casa Mexico, Jim’s Burger Den, Farm Boy, and more. Some fan favorites are Jim’s Burger Den and the Burnt Lemon Grill. When you stop by the latter, you can get a delicious plate of “Idaho Nachos”, a pile of tater tots with all the works--bacon bits, cheese, tomatoes, and more, along with a side of ranch and sour cream.
If you enjoy going to cities like Meridian and Eagle but love the homey feel of a smaller town that isn't necessarily a farm town, Middleton is a great option for you in Southwestern Idaho. The people are friendly, more houses are being built all the time, and you are close to all the activities going on around the Treasure Valley as well. Middleton truly is the “middle town” in the Treasure Valley. Don't just pass through it--enjoy the skatepark or local snow cone shack. Star is only about ten minutes away, and Eagle is only about fifteen minutes further from that.
Middleton doesn't slack on festivities either; there is always something going on in the local community, whether it's a market or parade, firefighter event or fundraiser, or a movie going on at Foote Park. There is always something fun going on in Middleton. The sleepy town is waking up, so don't miss your opportunity to jump on the fun!
