Harrison is a city in Kootenai County, Idaho. The city is located in northern Idaho, and was once the largest city on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Founded in 1899, the town is situated 28 miles south of Interstate 90, and is part of the scenic byway. As of the 2000 census, the city continues to be a hub for families, small businesses and tourists. With just over 267 people, the town features beautiful lakes, streams and a river. With church and community picnics, its inhabitants are also very close and friendly. While fires destroyed much of the town in 1910, the town picked itself up and continued to progress. Today, Harrison is a premiere vacation spot, with public docks, boat launch, campgrounds and a sandy shoreline beach.
