Age of Homes
The large majority of Bellevue homes have been built in the past forty years. In fact, 1,705 homes -- 87% of all Bellevue real estate -- have been built during this time period. The '80s and '90s saw the biggest housing boom as about 450 new homes were erected in the '80s, and approximately 600 in the '90s. More recently, new home production has tapered off a bit, but residents still have plenty of interest in creating their dream house from scratch. Since 2000, about another 300 houses have been constructed.
For those of you seeking Idaho real estate and have a few extra dollars to spend, Bellevue might be the fit for you. In 2009, the estimated median house value in Bellevue was $355,321, which is more than double the $171,700 figure for the state of Idaho.
The estimated median household income as of 2011 is sitting at $52,338, comfortably above the state median of $44,926. Nearly all residents, 97.5%, both live and work in Blaine county.
Bellevue is a growing town, as the recent influx in new homes suggests. The estimated population in 2000 was 3,043 residents. Since then the estimated population has risen to at least 3,584 residents, a nearly 18% growth in just the past decade.
Yet despite this recent growth, there is still only a population density of 14 people per square mile, which gives plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy some peace and quiet.
