The Depot Bench is south of Downtown Boise and sits at an elevation approximately 60 feet. The Bench is so named because of the exaggerated rise in elevation and gives the appearance of a step, or bench. If you're worried about proximity to your place of employment, the Bench caters to Federal Way to the east, Cole Road to the west, and Garden City to the north. Orchard Street is a major north-south thoroughfare to the neighborhood. In the Boise Bench neighborhood, you'll find older residential homes, similar to those in the North End. The Bench is home to the Boise Union Pacific Depot and close to the Boise Airport, if you fly in and out of the city often.

Northwest Boise is snug against the Boise Foothills to the north, State Street to the south, the lovely Eagle, Idaho to the west, and downtown Boise to the east. If you're looking for a Boise home that delivers quick access to the Boise Greenbelt system, Northwest Boise is the neighborhood for you. You'll also enjoy proximity to Downtown and everything it has to offer, and to Veteran's Memorial Park.

Southeast Boise, a neighborhood riddled with advantages, extends from Boise State University to Micron Technology. Southeast Boise has a number of homes built in the last thirty years, and their residents enjoy close proximity to many of Boise's finer amenities, such as the Greenbelt and the Boise River. Broadway Ave runs through Southeast Boise, as does Parkcenter, and Amity. If you're interested in buying your next home in Southeast Boise, you'll enjoy Ivywild Park, Barber Park and Julia Davis Park. Nothing is too far when you live in Southeast Boise, including Downtown, the University, fine restaurants, easy foothill access, the airport, and many other important services.

The West Bench is close to the largest mall in the state, Boise Towne Square Mall, and a number of restaurants, businesses, and shops. Cole Road, Fairview Road, Northview, and Milwaukee are all major thoroughfares. Winstead Park incorporates a large area of the West Bench, with a mix of old and new homes for sale in Boise. The West Bench borders Meridian.

Downtown Boise lies in between the North End, Southeast Boise, Veterans Park, and the Depot Bench. Downtown Boise is near Julia Davis Park (including Zoo Boise) and Ann Morrison park. Downtown is Boise's cultural center and home to several high-rises and small businesses. You'll find a great mix of dining and shopping opportunities with many locally owned boutiques and restaurants. This area also includes the Idaho State Capitol, the Egyptian Theatre, and the Boise Art Museum.

Boise's North End contains many of the city's older homes. The North End is beautiful, with its many tree lined streets, such as Harrison Boulevard, where you'll find many Boise homes on the historical register. 9th street takes you right into Downtown, and 13th street is home to Hyde Park where you'll find many restaurants and local businesses.

Boise's East End is the perfect fit for you if you want fast access to the south-central Idaho mountains, the Boise River and the Boise Foothills. Warm Springs lies on the gorgeous Warm Springs Avenue, and is home to Boise's largest and most expensive homes, nestled right in the Foothills.

Whatever your budget, lifestyle, or preference, Boise, Idaho caters to your needs. Whichever neighborhood fits you the best, you'll be close to fine schools, vast recreational activities, businesses, and a high quality of life.
