What does it cost to go to Boise State?

If you have children or teenagers and you are purchasing Boise real estate and about to make your new home in Boise, you’re probably thinking about a lot of things to do with the community, neighborhood, and school systems.
Eventually, though, your kids will be ready to go to college, and what more perfect place for them to go then to Boise State right at home?
Boise State is a top-notch accredited state university which will give your college-aged children a variety of choices of majors and fields of study, as well as the chance to be a part of Bronco University-Go Blue and Orange! The College of Arts and Sciences offers majors in popular scientific fields such as Biology, Chemistry; Geosciences, and Mathematics; artistic disciplines like Art, English, Modern Languages and Literatures, Music, and Theatre Arts. The College of Business and Economics will give students choices such as Accountancy, Economics, Information Technology and Supply Chain Management, International Business, and Marketing and Finance. If teaching is your child’s passion, he or she can come into the university under the College of Education and major in, for example, the Bilingual Education and ESL Program, Counselor Education, Curriculum, Instruction, and Foundation Studies, Early Childhood Education, Educational Technology, Literacy, Special Education, and Teacher Education. Boise State also offers a College of Engineering with Civil Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering majors, just to name a few. There is also a graduate college with multiple graduate programs and multiple other learning opportunities, including a distance learning department and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute for nontraditional students.
As a parent, though, one of the factors in the front of your mind about college is going to be the cost. What does it cost to go to Boise State?
Boise State is a remarkably affordable college for both in-state and out-of-state students. For full-time students, residents of Idaho will pay fees of $2,783 for one semester and $5,566 for a full year. Non-residents of Idaho will pay tuition of $5,200 for one semester and $10,400 for the year. Housing is equally affordable, with room and board costing around $3,638 for the semester and $7,276 for the year. Books cost approximately $600 per semester, with other personal expenses totaling around $1,500 per semester.
All in all, Boise State will be an exceptional choice for college students, whether it is your children looking ahead to their future, or yourself, as a nontraditional student wanting to go back to school to learn something new.
