Posted by Kevin Hughes on Wednesday, June 29th, 2011 at 5:31pm.

A Beautiful Eagle HomeFamilies interested in relocating to Eagle, Idaho will discover loads of fun for the whole family.

We had to narrow a long list to just the top five great events for you and the kids to check out. There are many more new and exciting things happening all the time making this a prime time place to buy a home or business.

#1 – Western Idaho Fair – Glenwood, Boise

Less than 15 minutes away from most Eagle homes, the annual Western Idaho Fair on Glenwood in Boise offers fun for the whole family. Every year, the fair offers a Family Day, with no smoking or alcohol allowed on the fairgrounds. Children under five are admitted for free. Carnival wristbands allow unlimited rides for the day, and on Family Promo Day, are only $25 each. Entertainment includes contests, exhibits, ground acts, concerts, carnival rides and games, and, of course, standard and unique concession fare.

#2 – The Arts West School's Annual Molten Metal Pour – ArtsWest School, Eagle

This community event is especially fun for the kids, but adults enjoy it, too! Admission is free. The fun starts with the purchase of a blank sand mold—upon which a design can be etched (great fun for the kids and adults). Then, the metal workers demonstrate filling the design with molten metal. The blank scratch molds are available from $10-$25. Food, drink, and live music entertainment also provided.

#3 – Eagle Saturday Market – Heritage Park, Eagle

From April to October annually, every Saturday marks the Saturday Market. Children and families alike enjoy the fresh foods (locally grown), live music, culinary and artistic demonstrations. Because the vendors change weekly, there is always an opportunity to experience something new each Saturday. Vendors are diverse and carry home décor, pottery, baked goods, fresh produce, clothing, furniture, and arts & crafts.

#4 – Ye Olde Renaissance Faire – Eagle Island State Park, Eagle

The annual Renaissance Faire offers much to do for the whole family—including Medieval Entertainment such as jousts, dancing, and sword fights; if the kids want to learn, there are activities such as Renaissance games, jugglers, jesters, story telling, May Pole Dancing, Archery, hair braiding, face painting, Children's Puppet Theatre & Puppet Making, and even more. Arts, crafts, feasts, and raffles are also available.

At the Eagle Fun Days

#5 – Eagle Fun Days – All throughout Eagle

The Eagle Fun Days kick off with a parade each year, and for four days, the fun goes on all over the area. Features include a carnival, rodeo, kid's triathlon, concerts, family bike night, bike races, a street dance at Heritage Park, pancake breakfast at Merrill Park, contests, and food vendors everywhere.

Relocating and purchasing Eagle real estate along with getting to know a new area can be an adventure. Families quickly learn that there is a lot more than potatoes in Idaho's real estate. Fun for the whole family can be found all summer long throughout Eagle, Idaho. There is never a dull moment for this Idaho community with a small town feel.
