Moving to Boise, including the areas of Nampa, Meridian, Eagle, and Garden City, offers a smorgasbord of dining opportunities—over 1800 choices in the entire area—including Italian, Mexican, Asian, Fusion, and American Fare. Below is a brief overview of Boise's 9 most unique dining experiences.
#1 – Rick's Press Room – Meridian
Featured on the Food Network, newcomers to the Meridian area can enjoy a trip to Rick's Press Room. The atmosphere is casual with a “this just in” breaking news theme. Headlines from many different newspapers are displayed on the walls and food offerings include salmon in potato, chicken, rib-eye steak, and Fettuccine Alfredo.
#2 – Brick 29 Bistro – Nampa
Placed on prime Nampa real estate, Brick 29 is a eye-catching restaurant with a pleasant, upscale atmosphere (casual dress is allowed). Sunday brunch is available with a large buffet, including breakfast items, salads, and entrees. Standard fare is beef, lamb, chicken, macaroni and cheese, soups and salads.
#3 – Brick Oven Bistro – Boise
Located in the center of downtown Boise, the Brick Oven Bistro Restaurant offers light suppers, “Blue Ribbon Dinners,” open-faced sandwiches, soups, stews, and specialty sandwiches. They also offer an old-fashioned soda fountain with malts, shakes, and flavored sodas.
#4 – Madhuban Indian Cuisine – Boise
Vegetarians looking for Boise homes can get to know the area through its vegetarian cuisine. With over half of the buffet dishes being vegetarian or vegan, Madhuban offers a wide selection to satisfy any appetite. Dishes include Palak Paneer, Aloo Mutter, and Chana Saag.
#5 – Bar Gernika – Boise
A Basque Pub and Eatery, Bar Gernika offers authentic Basque foods (chorizo, lamb, solomo, and paella), as well as standard American Fare (hamburgers, grilled chicken, and the like), beer, wine, and regional brews to satisfy their diners appetites.
#6 – Copper Canyon Restaurant – Nampa
Upscale dining at reasonable prices can be enjoyed at the Copper Canyon Restaurant. Dishes include classic salads, soups, pastas, meats, and the unique vegetarian dish of grilled portabella polenta.
#7 – Tucano's Brazilian Grill – Boise
Family dining in a unique setting, Tucano's offers classic Brazilian Fare and American dishes with a Brazilian twist. Offerings include specialty skewers, beef, poultry, pork, and vegetable entrees, and unique appetizers and desserts.
#8 – Berryhill & Co. Fine Dining – Boise
Downtown Boise boasts “fine, yet casual” dining at the Berryhill & Co. Restaurant. Open for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and Sunday brunch, Berryhill offers unique dishes such as Angry Pasta (a spicy dish), Tomato & Chevre Ravioli, and Kurobota Pork Chop Ragout.
