
Northwest Nazarene University, a secluded 35 acre campus, located in Nampa, Idaho was founded in 1913 and is a Christian university. It offers more than 60 study areas to various levels of education seekers. It also provides master's degree, accelerated degree and continuing education programs as well as concurrent credit for students at the high school level. Programs based in Boise, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls are available along with online programs. The student enrollment includes 2,000 undergraduates and graduates, 2,300 high school students and over 6,000 continuing education students.
The average class size is approximately 19 and the student to faculty ratio is 15 to 1. There are more than 110 faculty members and 305 employees who work at Northwest Nazarene University. The academic schools include: Business, the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Social Work and Counseling, Education, Health and Science, and Theology and Christian Ministries. The school operates on a two semester calendar. Summer courses are offered. The degrees offered are: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Applied Studies and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The graduate programs include: Education, Counseling, Business, Social Work, Nursing, and Religion.
Northwest Nazarene University also offers an honors program for freshman students who have demonstrated superior academic ability.
The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities has accredited this institution. The United States News and World Report has ranked it as one of the best masters level universities in the western U.S. Princeton's Review Book: The Best Western Colleges recently featured this institution. It is one of eight colleges that has an affiliation with the Church of the Nazarene.

This institution is based around the teachings of Jesus Christ and develops a lifestyle in students which teaches them to become an agent of God.
