The Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Located on the campus of Boise State University, this premier theatrical concert hall's calendar in 2012 alone presented such diverse Fare as the Rain, a Tribute to the Beatles, Boise State's Orchestra, Boise State's Choir, Jerry Seinfield, and Les Miserables- not to mention a Broadway season full of great musicals. Taco Bell Arena (also on B.S.U.'s campus) appeals to all ages as well with recent bands and performers including Rodney Carrington, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson. A full capacity crowd of 12,000 at Taco Bell Arena can really get the place rockin'.
If you're more into smaller, more intimate settings in which to satisfy your musical cravings, Boise abounds with great restaurants, lounges and clubs that feature live music. Into karaoke? Plenty of that to be found around town as well. With just a little research, you'll find pretty much every type of music your soul craves in and around Boise, Idaho. The Blue Door Cafe in nearby Eagle, ID features blues music every night. You'll also run onto talented street musicians downtown who play for quarters and are good enough to get you to stop.
If you like living outside the city a bit while remaining conveniently close, you may be checking out some beautiful Nampa homes for sale. While out there, check out Nampa's music. Nampa boasts The Idaho Center, which is presenting Nickelback coming soon. Other great events happen here frequently, including some of the largest names in country music. George Strait picked the Idaho Center as one of the sites for his farewell tour in 2013.
