Nampa's Sizzling Top 5 Family Events This Summer!

Beautiful SummersAre you hearing a rather repetitive- "I'm bored! What are we going to do today?" Do the Kiddos and yourself a favor and check out what Nampa has to offer for your family. Here are the top five family activities this summer.

The Meridian Farmers' Market and Bazaar is free of charge and features local Idaho companies. These vendors offer home, food, arts, crafts, jewelry, décor, finance, garden, wellness and lifestyle services and products. The theme for the 2011 Market is Easier to Find, More Fun than Usual and Always a little Bazaar. The Market opened April 30, 2011. The hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. To 3:00 p.m. The Market is located at the Crossroads Shopping Center at the intersection of Fairview Road and Eagle Road in Meridian, Idaho. The Market offers free family fun in a non-smoking environment. The food offerings include: fresh baked pastries, sweet treats, coffee, tea, brats, hotdogs and ribs. The will also be music and entertainment for the entire family.

The Snake River Stampede begins on July 19, 2011. Opening night hours run from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. The Stampede is located at the Idaho Center, 16200 Idaho Center Boulevard, Nampa, Idaho. The entry fee to the Stampede ranges from $14 to $35 plus handling fees. There are discounts available for children and seniors. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The Pre-rodeo event starts at 7:15. No video cameras will be permitted into the Stampede. The Snake River Stampede Family Matinee will take place on July 23, 2011 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. There will be no alcohol served at this event. The doors will open at 11:00 a.m. The Pre-rodeo event will begin at 11:45. The rodeo will begin at 12:30.

The Nampa Public Library will hold a Thursday Family Reading Program from June 9th to July 28th. The June 9th Open House will run from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. It will present the World of Health. The June 16th program will offer two shows at the following times: 3:15 and 4:15 p.m. This show is open to people of all ages and will be a presentation of the Discovery Center of Idaho. The program on June 23rd will also include two shows at 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Stories, songs and crafts from around the world will be presented by the award winning storyteller, Joy Steiner. On June 30th the world of reptiles will be presented by the Idaho Herpetological Society from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Nampa Civic Center Performing Arts Series will begin August 20, 2011. The shows will be held in the Brandt Auditorium at 311 Third Street, Nampa, Idaho. Discounted season tickets are available. The Series will run from August 20 to May 24, 2012. The shows include: Roslyn Kind, Late Night Catechism, Il Voce, Diddlysquat, Ansty McClain, Doo Wah Riders, Years of Broadway, Celtic Nights, The Good Lovelies, Girls Night the Musical, McManus Comedies and Jim Witter Feeling

 Groovy. Tickets range from $15 to $42.

There are a number of concerts being provided by the Idaho Center Ampitheater located at 16200 Idaho Center Blvd. The shows include the God and Country Festival and the National Oldtime Fiddler's Festival. Prices vary from free entrance to $30 for a week pass. So those owning Idaho homes, espicially in Nampa will find tons of fun to fill this summers "Not So boring" days.
