Statues in Downtown BoiseStudies show that artistic expression is a healthy and necessary practice in the development of civilization.  From ancient cave paintings on stone walls to modern day oil paintings on canvas art has defined humanity for eons of time, and the study of art helps one to broaden his or her horizons.  In addition to amazing vistas, Idaho also offers a wealth of educational opportunities in the form of its spectacular art museums.

Depending on where you are in the state of Idaho, it is just a short trip to view some of the amazing exhibits Idaho Art museums have to offer.  One can visit:
·        The Boise Art Museum
·        The Museum of Northern Idaho in Coeur d'Alene
·        The Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls
·        The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls

Boise Art MuseumThe Boise Art Museum
For over seventy years the Boise Art Museum has been a reflection of Idaho’s commitment to artistic expression in all its forms.  In 1937 collaboration between the Boise Art Association, the City of Boise, and the Federal Works Progress Administration gave birth to the construction of the Boise Gallery of Art in Julia Davis Park in the heart of Downtown Boise.  In 1988 the museum was rewarded when it became the first Idaho museum to be accredited by the American Association of Museums.  It is the continuing goal of the Boise Art Museum to inspire learning through its art collections and educational opportunities.  Boise Real Estate investors can experience the museum’s commitment represented in a total of twenty annual art exhibitions.

The Museum of North Idaho
In the 1960s an organization of loggers, lumbermen and foresters calling themselves the North Idaho Hoo Hoo Club dedicated themselves to the concept of a museum of lumbering and logging.  The Museum of North Idaho opened on the campus of North Idaho College on July 28, 1973, but it later moved and reopened in its present location in 1979.  Its mission is to educate visitors and establish an understanding of the area’s rich cultural heritage.

The Museum of Idaho
Imagine an encounter with a giant dinosaur, the allure of ancient Egyptian artifacts, or the fascination of seeing the delicate intricacies of the human body. At the Museum of Idaho, you can surround yourself with these wonders of the world.

Currently showing BODIES…The Exhibition until Sept. 5, 2011, the Museum of Idaho is a non-profit organization and is the intermountain west’s premier museum in providing nationally and internationally acclaimed exhibits to the surrounding areas. Showcasing both traveling and permanent exhibits, the museum is dedicated to preserving and educating the public in the sciences and humanities.

The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho
Opening its door on October 19, 2002, the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho committed itself to the educational and cultural fulfillment of the residents of southeastern Idaho.  The museum is also committed to being a venue for Idaho artists in all stages of their artistic development.  With its array of exhibits, displays, and scheduled events Idaho Real Estate investors can appreciate how the museum has become an integral part in the creation of a sense of community in the great state of Idaho.
