Hola! The Hispanic Culture in Boise

Posted by Kevin Hughes on Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 at 6:41pm.

Boise, Idaho is a bustling urban area with two hundred thousand people in the southwest corner of the state. Around 13,500 of those people are Latinos. Over 6,000 hispanics in the Boise area, around 3% of all residents, communicate at home in Spanish. Nearly 100 Hispanic soccer teams participate in area leagues and Spanish language church services are almost commonplace.

Boise even has it's own Hispanic Cultural Center. Many unique services and programs are available here. These include:

Home in Boise
  • Facility Rental
  • State-of-the-Art Computer Lab
  • Art Gallery
  • Gift Shop
  • Spanish Classes
  • SBA Workshops
  • Special Events

The Cultural Center has office hours from nine until five Monday through Friday. If those times do not fit your schedule, call to schedule a tour of the facilties at  (208) 442-0823.

More Spanish speakers are relocating to the area every day. It is quite easy to find a nice Boise or Nampa home for sale, and Idaho real estate is a real bargain. Given the growth in the west of the Boise Metroplex, particularly in Canyon County, a Nampa house is likely to appreciate significantly.

Boise's North End is its high end enclave. These are among the most prestigious addresses in all of Idaho real estate. Many of Boise's larger homes from the twentieth and even the nineteenth century are found here. While pricey, these homes can provide a luxury lifestyle unique in Boise and Nampa real estate.

Home in Nampa, IDOther areas of Boise also offer nineteenth or twentieth century Idaho real estate. These homes are rarer than more recent construction and more expensive, but the downtown plateau known as the Bench sometimes has a few fixer uppers available. They will certainly require work in renovation and decoration but can be worth the effort. Buyers looking for period homes with the time and money required may find a Boise or even a Nampa house that can be turned into the home of their dreams.

The East End and the southeast areas of Boise are good places to look for newer residences. West of the city the whole of Nampa and its environs are experiencing rapid growth, and Nampa real estate may represent not only an attractive home but a decent investment. A Nampa house is likely to be one of the best long term bargains in Idaho real estate.

With the growing community infrastructure of businesses, public services and cultural offerings, Latinos relocating to the Boise area can expect to feel quite comfortable. Attractive Idaho real estate is available at very reasonable rates. The perfect Boise or Nampa home for any family is just waiting to be discovered, and Nampa real estate in particular may represent a continually appreciating asset. Local real estate agents, many with Spanish language skills, can help newcomers find the right Boise or Nampa house.
