Giving Back... Helping Idaho Local Charities

Idaho charities have supported those in need for many years. While there are many great charitable organizations found across the country- today, we wanted to focus on those having a positive impact on the everyday life of Idahoans across the state.
Following is a short list of some of the most popular charities in Idaho, organized by city:
Boise
- Idaho Conservation League- Sustains the land, waters, and air used by both human and animal inhabitants.
- United Visions for Idaho-Tackles all social, cultural, and economical aspects of the state. Their agenda includes but is not limited to; human rights, justice, democracy, public policy, and the common good for all.
- The Peregrine Fund- Protects birds of prey through education, hands-on demonstrations, factual presentations, etc.
- Mujeres Unidas de Idaho-Latina Women's advocacy group aimed at educating and allowing Latinas to fully participate in their community.
- Coeur d'Alene Audubon Society-Protects Idaho's wildlife, more specifically endangered species. Serves primarily Kootenai, Benewah and Shoshone Counties.
- Koinonia House-Provides access and resources for education regarding the Bible as the final word.
- Excel Foundation-Secure contributions from all institutions.
- Genesis World Mission-Providing for the less fortunate and disabled by showing them the Love of God.
- Boys and Girls Club of Ada County-Educate and inform children about their potential role in society as leaders.

- A Refuge Ministries-Biblical counseling and resources for those in need.
- Wolf Recovery Foundation-Resorting the lives and shelters of wolves surrounding the Rocky Mountain area.
Ketchum
- International Seed Saving Institute-Sustains the agricultural life and diversity.
- Make A Difference-Empowers orphans and youth in need by teaching them life skills and engaging them in themed activities.
- Girls on the Run of the Wood River Valley-Providing young women with resources and skills to become successful adults.
- Arthur B. Schultz Foundation-Focuses on wheelchair accessibility, maintenance, and availability in the outside world.
Nampa
- Catholic Charities of Idaho-Enlisting communities to participate in the common good through familial and individual advocacy.
- Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Idaho-Relieve the many negative aspects of communities such as poverty, hunger, violence, and homelessness by aiding them in receiving governmental security and resources.
- Napma Family Justice Center-Aiding in those affected by child abuse and/or domestic violence.
Sandpoint
- Rock Creek Alliance-Protect water quality of Northern Idaho.
- Scholarship Flight Training-Educational organization specializing in those pursuing aviation careers.
- Tri-State Water Quality Council-Sustaining the water that provides access and resources to three neighboring states.
Twin Falls
- Women League of Voters-Provides governmental information to allow for the largest access of legitimate facts to women voters.
- United Way of South Central Idaho-Enables those who want to be a part of and often times change regular community practices through education and problem solving.
- South Central Community Action Partnership-Serves low-income families through providing them with unavailable resources.
Calling Idaho home is a priveledge... and all of us benefit and can contribute to the tremendous efforts of Idaho charities as they help create stronger, healthier and more tight knit communities. Great organizations provide a foundation for great people- bringing the best out of everyone from Boise to Coeur d'Alene.
