History
The Morrison Center was the life-long dream of Harry W. Morrison. The Center was opened on April 7, 1984 by Morrison’s widow, Velma. The Center is recognized as a premier destination in the arts and culture world and hundreds of art education offerings and live performances are presented annually. The large variety of events offered enrich the lives of people of all ages.
 Boise City Greenbelt
As a Boise State University affiliate, the Center is a non-profit organization supported by ticket sales, facility rentals, donations and the generous support of the Morrison Center Endowment Foundation, Inc. The community is encouraged to play an active role in the Center's ongoing success - as a donor or volunteer.

David H. Bieter, Mayor of Boise, remarked that every great city has a great performing arts facility. He said the Morrison Center in Boise is precisely that and much more: a soaring, visible tribute to the importance of arts and culture in the Boise community.

Regardless of your preferences – music, drama, comedy, dance or something else – you will find what you are looking for at the Morrison Center – Idaho’s Premier Performing Arts Center. An evening at the Morrison Center will be one of the nicest parts of your move to Idaho.
