"ALL ABOARD!"...Don’t Miss a Ride on the Thunder Mountain Train
Posted by Kevin Hughes on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at 3:22pm.The journey begins in small town Horseshoe Bend, deep down in a pocket of green mountains. Steam and
smoke fill the air as the engine takes off for what feels like a hidden fairytale world. The mystery and magical enthusiasm of the Thunder Mountain Line fills young and old alike with the childish glee and wonder. It brings everyone back to the days of imagination and dreams-come true.
Originally, the train line was constructed to serve the mining district of the area, which was rich in gold and ore. It became a true workhorse of its day, getting freight through parts of the west that roads in the 1880s would not accommodate. Today, its offerings are quite different, and very enjoyable. If you're an Idaho home owner, or planning to be one, the Thunder Mountain train is an opportunity to see Idaho history brought to life.

If you'd like to charter the entire train for your company event, during the operating season (May through November) you'll find that there are a number of routes and catering options.
