There are 29 nationally registered landmarks, including the Pocatello Carnegie Library and Fort Hall on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. Or, travel is easy to Lava Hot Springs, which offer natural hot springs that flow and soothe the spirit, running naturally between 95-110 degrees. Lava Hot Springs and Bannock County also have Portneuf river tubing, water parks, and horseback riding.
Historians and history buffs can also enjoy the Bannock County Historical Museum & Fort Hall 19th Century Replica.
Golf lovers can enjoy a variety of golf courses, including the Highland Golf Course, the Juniper Hills Country Club, the Riverside Golf Course, and the Thunder Canyon Golf Course. These courses range from par 35 to par 72, with a notable hole at Thunder Canyon—hole number five, which is 401 yards, par 3, and requires a shot over a creek.
Nightlife includes dining at the Fort Hall Indian Casino, the Green Triangle Bar, Five Mile Inn, and Hooligans in Pocatello.
